At Vegetal we believe that animals shouldn't have to suffer for people to look good or carry around cool bags. Our products are carefully selected to ensure they are 100% vegan, stylish, cool, modern, hard wearing and affordable.

The seed that grew into Vegetal was our desire for all our accessories to be vegan without having to sacrifice looking great or pay over the odds. Technology has advanced to a point now where a man-made product can look as good as one grown as an animal and be as durable.

Some people argue that leather is a by-product of the meat industry, but this is not the case. The demand for leather and animal skin products is another aspect of animal exploitation and contributes to making the economics of animal agriculture work.

We don't think cruelty-free accessories and bags should cost more than leather products or be any less cool, modern, colourful and stylish. They don't have to be corky, tassely tie-dyes from the days of flower-power. We created Vegetal to provide affordable, cool alternatives that might look like leather but weren't formerly the living, breathing skin of a beautiful animal. We have thoroughly tested each of our products to make sure they wear well and are fit for purpose.

We are excited to be living in the era of the Compassion Revolution as veganism becomes one of Britain's fastest growing lifestyle movements. In the last decade the estimated number of vegans in the UK has shot up from 150,000 to 542,000 as we become increasingly more aware and concerned about what we are doing to our bodies, the environment and the animals that we share our planet with. Our dream is to convince the world to adopt a healthier, more ethical and more compassionate lifestyle and that even little things we do can change the world for the better.

We started Vegetal in Spring 2018 and we are excited to embark on a new journey. We hope you will join us in creating a better world without the suffering of any species on our awesome planet.
